If we are going to celebrate 250 years of American freedom, we need to stand with those who helped secure and continue to protect it.
Honor Their Service 250 is the Purple Heart Foundation’s campaign to turn remembrance into action by supporting veterans and their families through four essential pillars: Stability, Healing, Companionship, and Opportunity.
Freedom Is Not Free. It Never Has Been.
America’s story has always depended on men and women willing to carry the burden of service. Their sacrifice helped build this nation, defend it, and preserve the freedoms we often take for granted.
But service can leave a lasting mark.
For many veterans, the challenges do not end when military service ends. They continue through financial hardship, emotional strain, isolation, transition into civilian life, and the daily work of rebuilding stability and purpose. That is why Honor Their Service 250 exists.
This campaign is about more than tribute. It is about meaningful support that helps veterans move forward.

The Purple Heart Foundation Mission
Since 1957, the Purple Heart Foundation has existed to improve the quality of life for combat-wounded and honorably discharged veterans through direct assistance and access to resources that support them after their military service.

Not every wound can be seen, but every wound matters. The Healing pillar supports veterans as they work through the physical, emotional, and mental effects of service with dignity, strength, and hope.
Healing matters because recovery shapes every part of life after service.
COMPANIONSHIP
Connection That Restores Hope
Healing is not only clinical or financial. It is also deeply human. Through Battle Buddies, veterans can find comfort, routine, and renewed connection through the bond of a companion animal.
Companionship matters because connection and purpose matter.
OPPORTUNITY
Helping Veterans Build What Comes Next
Veterans deserve more than gratitude. They deserve a path forward. The Opportunity pillar supports education, training, and growth so veterans can build stronger futures for themselves and their families.
